Debian (etch): noget er gået galt i

'Aloha!

På en debian(etch) server vil jeg gerne installere en nyere bind, det er jo
en god ide i disse dage. Det går sådan her:

# aptitude install bind9

Reading package lists... Done

Hvorfor vli du installere bind fra lenny, squeeze eller sid ?

Det vil jeg skam helt heller ikke! Hvor ser du at det det jeg prøver at gøre?

Men, du ledte mig på sporet... i min /etc/apt/sources.list havde jeg:

deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main contrib non-free

det har jeg byttet ud med:

deb http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main contrib non-free

Og bingo, så gik det hele som en leg!

Den bind9 du var ude på at installere var i hvert fald mindst bygget på
lenny. Det kunne jeg se på Depends: libc6 (>= 2.7-1). Jeg vil godt
medgive at det kræver et trænet øje at se det. Etch blev udgivet med
2.3.x og lenny med 2.7.x (og squeeze nok med 2.9 eller 2.10).
