In a baking dish combine

   5 cups milk
   2 cups rice
   1 cup sugar
   ½ cup raisins

then add 2-3 Tbsp butter and sprinkle with lots of ground nutmeg
and optionally a dash of cinnamon. Bake at a slow heat, say 350°F
or below, for appr. 1½ hours.
