I want to find more info on 4 brothers who
left Nyborg, Vindinge, Svendborg,
Fyn, DK around 1900 for the Americas.

The oldest brother is Anders (Andrew in USA)
Johansen, born 12 Aug 1874 in
Bovense, Vindinge, Svendborg, DK.
He left Nyborg, Vindinge, Svendborg, DK for
USA in 1903. He took a ship, Hermina,
out of South Shields England on Feb 26
1903.

Nothing much is known about him until
2 August 1917 when he declared his US
citizen intention and was naturalized at
Camp Curtis WV in 1918. 1930 census
had him 55 years old, divorced, 43 years
old when first married, living in
Portland OR USA.

Between 1918 and 1920 he arrived in
Portland OR USA where he lived until after
the death of his (2nd) wife, Anne E Stoughton
in 1953. He died in the Northwest
Danish Old Peoples Home, Seattle WA
USA on 1 August 1961.

Does anyone know of this man? Does
anyone know of the NW Danish Old Peoples
Home in Seattle? Any info would be
much appreciated.

The second brother is Hans Peter
Johansen, born 13 Aug 1875 in Nyborg.
The conscription register for Nyborg, 1894
# 79 lists him for military service
examination, but he didn't show up.
He was a servant at Juelsberg, an estate
north of Nyborg. He left DK as a stoker
abord ship in 1899. He was back on
4 March 1900 in Nyborg for his parents
25th wedding aniversary. After that we
can't find record of him. He may have
been in Brazil.

3rd brother is Emil Jørgen Johansen, born
23 April 1881 in Nyborg. Emil is buried
nearby in Portland Oregon USA.

4th brother is Thorvald Dybdal Johansen,
born 30 Nov 1883 in Nyborg. He is buried
in CoosBay Oregon USA.

Any info on the second brother, Hans Peter,
would be greatly appreciated. Info on
the others is also appreciated.
