This is unbelievable - I have found out that dunhill links championship is
offering a slot in the 2002 tournament.



This is a European tour and you can basically bid (in aid of a charity to

opportunity to play with one of the world's top golfers in the second
dunhill links championship is available via an online auction until 19th
September 2002.



The second dunhill links Championship will be played in Scotland on October
3-6, 2002. This new celebration of links golf is a 72-hole stroke play
pro-am tournament played over three of the world's most spectacular links
courses: the Old Course at St.Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns



Ernie Els has confirmed he is playing again, and Paul Lawrie is also
returning to Scotland to defend his 2001 title alongside teams of
international golfers, celebrities, sports stars and other amateurs - all of
whom have one thing in common, their passion for the game and for links
golf.

giving the highest bidder a once in a lifetime chance to play with the best

The money raised will be donated to the St Andrews Pilgrim Foundation, a
charity funding restoration of the town's historic monuments and buildings.

Jack Nicklaus, Seve Ballesteros, Arnold Palmer, Sam Torrance, Tony Jacklin
and commentator Peter Alliss. The prize package includes five nights
accommodation for two at the St Andrews Bay Hotel (bed and breakfast) and
invitations to the Championship's exclusive social events as honoured
guests.
