looking for dino-museum in Denmark
Fra : Isis

Dato : 22-01-02 09:39

Hi,

In may we go to Denmark for two weeks with our two children. Of course
we'll go to Legoland, but they are also dinosaurs fans.
Is there a dinosaur museum in Denmark?
We'll be staying near Kolbing, but it doesn't have to be nearby.
Thank you in advance.

Isis from the Netherlands.

No, we don't have any dedicated dino-museums. You might see one or two
at Zoologisk Museum in Copenhagen but thats all.

Alle museums in Denmark: http://www.dmol.dk/engelsk/start.asp

You'll find the official danish touristagency at www.visitdenmark.com

Have a nice holiday

Or Zoologisk Museum in Svendborg - it's not so far away.

Randers Regnskov:

Or other wildlife such as the great lions in Givskud:

Yes, we do have a dedicated dino-museums.!!

Here: http://www.dmol.dk/mus_info.asp?musnr=51101
About 40km south west of Kolding. (Kolbing, I suppose you by Kolbing mean
Kolding.)

Under "Facta" you will find "Gram Lergrav" This is where the fossiles has
been found, and still are found.
I believe that it is open for the public, to go looking for fossiles. At
least on some days.

Or here:
http://www.visitmidt.com/
There is a link to the museum mentioned above, I think.
(The south part of Jutland, "Sønderjylland".)

Maybe you cn find something interesting here:
http://www.geus.dk/geuspage-uk.htm

Or this, after searching for fossiles:
http://www.dmol.dk/mus_seekresult.asp?ord=Fossiler

Or a club for people who look for fossiles on Fyn. (Island about 20km east
of Kolding)
http://home19.inet.tele.dk/fossil/nyt.htm
In danish, I know.!

Ask again, if you need further info, I will try to help.

Best Regards

Jorgen

You mean Kolding, right? :)

Check out

http://www.dino-park.de/

it´s west of Hannover, so you can visit on your way up here or on your way
back. If you check with Auto Route you will find that you don´t have to
drive many kilometers extra in order to visit the place.

I have been there with my kids when they were quite small and expect to
visit again soon :)
