If the audio driver has not been installed, the sound card will be listed as PCI Multimedia Audio Device under the Other devices category. (Figure 2)

Driver Installation
To install the audio driver for Windows 98, perform the following steps:
Insert the Dell Latitude ResourceCD into the CD or DVD drive.
NOTE: If the CD does not auto play, click the Start button, click Run, and then type x:\start.htm, where x is the drive letter of the CD or DVD drive, in the Open box. Click OK.
Click to select the appropriate language.
From the Software by Operating System category, click Microsoft Windows 98.
Click Audio and then click on Cirrus Logic CS4281.
From the Language category, click Multiple.
Click the Install button.
The File Download window appears.
Click Run this program from its current location and then click OK.
The Security Warning window appears.
Click Yes.
Follow the prompts to install the audio driver.
