Roskilde question
Fra : Albert

Dato : 25-06-01 10:47

Hello,

I am visiting Roskilde for the first time and I have a quesion about a
meeting point. I send it to the festival organisation but they were not able
to answer it anymore. Can someone help me? The email I send is here:

Hello,

This year is my first Roskilde visit. I am travelling by plane from the
netherlands. I am visiting Roskilde together with a friend. Because of a
busy flight we are not able to catch the same flight to Copenhagen.

My friend is travelling three hours earlier. He is going to put up the tent
and than catch me up at a meeting point on the roskilde terrain. He put up
the tent alone because it will be dark when i arrive at roskilde

We are travelling by train to Roskilde town. At Roskilde town we want to
take the shuttle bus to the festival terrain (not the train! It is not
driving long enough). My question is:

Is there a good meeting point at the bus arrivalstation at the festival
area? Where can we meet? Are there other good meeting points which are
central on the terrain so I don't have to walk miles with all my luggage>

I hoop you can help me!

Greetings,

Albert

Hey there..... Welcome onboard the Roskilde wave

I have been going for 9 years now and my experience is that a meeting can
be very hard to arrange. When you get in by bus you will have to walk a few
hundred meters up to the festival gate. This road is marked by a long fence
on the right side. I would suggest that you setup up a meeting point
somwhere along this fence (maybe the beginning. P13 on the map) . There is
also the
possibility to meet at the corner of the mentioned road and the bus
arrival.where there is a big cement pipe which you could stand on a have a
great view. (corner of P20 on the map).
Also there is a train going from Roskilde Station to the Festival. This
train stops in the middle of the camping area. and you can setup a meeting
just where yopu get of the train.
you can take a look at the festival area here

have a nice festival maybe i'll see you there. I'll be wearing shorts and
t-shirt

best regards

Michael

As Michael wrote, if you take the train to the festival that's a good
place to meet, and you'll be in the middle of the camping area.
But remember to agree to meet later if one of you should be delayed
(e.g. at 18:00, 19:00, 20:00,... until you meet).

Have a nice festival
