DoD Identifies Marine Casualties

The Department of Defense announced today the death of two Marines who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Lance Cpl. Edward M. Garvin, 19, of Malden, Mass.

Cpl. Benjamin S. Rosales, 20, of Houston, Texas

Both Marines died Oct. 4 while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. They were assigned to 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
