En iransk ayatollah har fundet ud af at det var regeringen i England som
udførte angrebet i London:

Jannati: UK may have planned London attacks

A senior Iranian cleric said that the British government could have planned
last week's bomb attacks in London to justify its military presence in Iraq
and Afghanistan.

Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, who heads Iran's top legislative watchdog; the
Guardian Council, said that Britons only have themselves to blame.

"One possible set of culprits is Al Qaeda. But Al Qaeda is [U.S. President
George W.] Bush and [Tony] Blair," he told worshippers at Friday prayers in
Tehran.

"Who launched Al Qaeda? You must be tried, you who are the mothers of Al
Qaeda."

He added: "The other likelihood is that the British regime may have carried
out the attack itself ... because it benefits most... They want to justify
their presence in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"They tell people, 'If we don't fight terrorism, this will happen to you'."

Ayatollah Jannati's comments reiterated articles published by Iranian press
that said that the London bombings were orchestrated by the British
Government to encourage its troops to remain committed in Iraq and
Afghanistan.
