Jeg googlede lidt og fandt info om at det er en forkert advarsel som antivirus
programmer udsteder ang. Protected Storage Passview

SPYBOT FALSE POSITIVES ON NIRSOFT UTILITIES
posted at: 05:45 | path: | permanent link to this entry
Correspondent Tom Topor wrote me concerning my piece on McAfee's false-positive
identification of Protected Storage Passview as a virus. Passview, you will
recall, is a freeware program by Nir Sofer which discloses passwords stored on
your computer. It isn't a virus at all.
Tom wrote: "In fact, Spybot labels several programs from Nirsoft as malware.
They are not, and it is safe to exclude them from the program's scans."
Thanks for the reminder, Tom. You make two excellent points. One is that Nirsoft
has a number of excellent freeware password recovery utilities, network
monitoring tools, and Internet and desktop utilities that give users more access
and control. The other point highlighted here (perhaps unintentionally) is that,
regrettably, SpyBot over the last year has once more started producing
increasing false positive results. That, combined with its progressively poor
performance on finding legitimate malware items, has led me, again, to stop
recommending it at all.
Of course, if you disagree with me and really like SpyBot in its present
incarnation, you can take Tom's approach and add the Nirsoft utilities to your
exclude list. In any case, this is a good time to remind people of Nir Sofer's
page - you may find just the utility you want!
