The only other major difference between the 6100 and the 7210/6610
is the 6100's lack of a FM radio. I liked the radio in the 7210
quite a bit, but am willing to forgo it for the reduction in size
and weight. I would not have used it very much anyway. If you travel
by train a lot and would enjoy a radio, this might be enough of a
difference to get you to purchase a 7210 or 6610 instead of the 6100.
It wouldn't be enough to make me do so, though. Also, owing to the
lack of a radio, the headset that is included with the 6100 is
different. It is an around the ear type with a small microphone
boom. I prefer it to the typical earbud design of most systems since
those can easily get pulled out of place by the cord that attaches
them to the phone.
The remaining differences are almost inconsequential. The maximum MMS
message size on the 6100 is only 30k, where as the other models
support 45k. All three of the phones have the same amount of internal
memory, so I find this change a bit strange. But considering how
little use MMS actually gets today, and since the 6100 has no
internal camera, I don't think this is very important difference at
all. Additionally, the 6100 has a couple of new Java apps and a newer
version of the Converter app found in the 7210. The Puzzle chess game
is kinda neat, but will likely lose its appeal quite quickly. The
world clock app serves little real purpose. All of these Java apps
can be deleted to make room for new apps. The 6100 also supports the
electronic wallet function, which I also believe is of little value.
