Boolean problems
Fra : ulf westergaard

Dato : 04-05-03 17:56

I created a cylinder and converted it into an editable mesh - scaled some
vertex - and doing a boolean subtraction upon that (the operand is a simple
object), results in a hollow shell where you can look right through the
boolean 'hole'.

I wanted a solid 'cylinder' with an imprint of the subtracted object.

???

Anyone who might help me?

You don't address what application and if objects is imported.
Wire mesh and solids as imported into 3Ds don't carry these drawbacks, and
Solids from 3Ds kernel define the object perfect for another subtract , anyway
if this is not about rendering it's not a problem as the objects are defined
complete or not, maby you shuld look for "end cap" in the property box, or if
you draw 3Ds find it in the "more" menu.
