Mega problemer med Asus A7V266-C & Thoroug~
Fra : f00ge

Dato : 06-09-02 13:50

Hej. Jeg har lige posted det her i den engelske Asus gruppe. Så vil jeg lge
prøve lykken her. (Ved jo, de fleste her kan engelsk.) - Svar gerne på
dansk. :)
-----------

Right, I've spent about two weeks of trying to get my PC to work, bought 3
new motherboards and two video cards, due to these problems. So please
excuse me, if I sound a little pissed.

Here is what I'm trying to get to work:

Asus A7V266-C
AMD Thoroughbred 2200+ XP
Apacer DDR 266MHz RAM (1x256Mb)
4 different AGP video cards
ATX chassis

I pulled everything out. Only using what is needed to POST.

Here's the problem:

I boot, and am taken directly to BIOS setup - where I set the freq./FSP
correctly.
Then save & exit.
Then it goes dead. It doesn't boot.
I have to power down, and start again in order to boot.
Here, of course, I get taken to BIOS again. And here we go again. Can't boot
>> power down >> go to BIOS. Etc, etc, etc.

What on Earth can be done here?
) tells me, I need to set the FID3 jumper to 1-2 to enable
Palamino/Thoroughbred. Well, that's nice and all. But I don't have the FID
jumpers on my mobo!

This is so frustrating. I feel like crying and smashing up my PC with a big
sledgehammer.

Please, please, somebody save my PC (and myself).

Any suggestions?

Det er måske her.
2200+ kører 13.5x133=1800
Det er vel det du indstiller ?

(glem alt om fsb 266, for det er ikke reelt men indirekte med
2x133=266)

Sidder reset cmos jumper på reset konstant (hele tiden) ?

mvh

John

Ja, jeg sætter den til 13.5x133 i BIOS.

Nej.

Hvilken bios version har du ? Understøtter den T-bred ?

Hvad er CPU temperaturen ? (Bios Hardware monitor).
Mit A7V333 lukker ned ved ca 63 grader (er nu til ombytning).
