Hej.
Jeg håber I vil tilgive mig at jeg skriver på engelsk. Jeg har brugt en del
tid på at kreere nedenstående spørgsmål til udenlandske grupper:
My continuously updated Windows 2000 Pro and Internet Explorer 6.0 have been
working flawlessly since installation about a year ago, but recently a
small, but annoying, problem suddenly emerged:
Whenever I launch IE6, the first page always produces this error:
"Cannot find server or DNS Error"
Then I hit "Refresh" and all is well.
This happens when I launch IE6 directly and it tries to access the home page
or when I launch IE6 from link i my news reader, mail editor, etc. It's
always the first page and only the first page. If I set my home page to
"blank", I don't get the error message, of course, but I also don't get it
when I go to the first internet page after that.
I am connected to the internet via a LAN connection built around a Netgear
RP114 switch/router and an ADSL modem. The LAN settings are setup to
"Automatically detect settings" and have been all along. I have two other
Windows 2000 PC's hooked up the same way through the same router, and they
don't display this behavior.
I have no clue as to what introduced the problem.
I have tried to reset the Advanced Internet Options to default. Other than
that I don't know what to try - except reinstall the OS - which is why I
turn for help here.
Venlig hilsen
Henrik Dissing
