loading DLLs
Fra : Bob Smith

Hi,

I have a web site that is hosted on a NT server using IIS.

I am trying to execute a .exe file from within a ASP
script, using the wshell methyod, but to no avail as
it seems that the server wont allow me to run .exe or
batch files.

I was told that the ASPEXEC code is one way to run this -
but I my host provider doesnt allow me to register the required
DLL on the server. Is their anyway that I can load a DLL
using ASP, so that my program can make use of the functions
provided in the DLL???.

Is there any other way for me to over come these problems - apart
from going for a "virtual server" type hosting plan where I can
register DLLs.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

bob

Nope.. - That's a part of idea, when the server-admin chooses not to give
you execute-rights.
