Lyder mærkeligt. Jeg kører selv XinXP Pro og 3'eren kører fint hos mig. Jeg
synes at kunne erindre at have installeret en XP patch.

Check the WIN XP Compatibility feature; this may allow you to run the game
properly.
1.. If you right click on the game icon and then click on properties this
will get you to the Compatibility mode.
2.. Click on the Compatibility Tab and this will get you to the choices of
OS and screen resolution which you should choose based on your game
requirements.
3.. It should be self-explanatory once you get into the Compatibility
mode.
Question: I am trying to install a game and I get an "Illegal operation
error in ins5576" (chkreqs.dll). How can I get pass this?
Answer: The problem could be caused by an error in the way the information
is queried. The workaround for this is as follows.
1.. Launch the game installer and select Yes or No at the DirectX prompt
(it doesn't matter which is selected.)
2.. At the welcome screen, minimize the screen
3.. Click the "start" button in windows and click on "find". Choose "files
or folders from the list.
4.. In the named box, type in "chkreqs.dll. (make sure you are searching
in your C drive) Hit the "find now" button.
5.. You may find several copies of the same file. Highlight them all and
then delete them. To make sure the files are deleted, empty your recycle
bin. (If you have Norton Utilities installed make sure you empty your
"Norton Protected Recycle Bin" as well.
6.. Switch back to the Heroes III installer and continue as normal.
