In May 1992, the communist puppet regime of Najibullah had fallen and the
muslim soldiers of the legendary Ahmad Shah Massoud had captured Kabul.
After 13 years of war, the future looked better. Afghan refugee Gul Rahman
loaded his family and his household on a truck to return home from
