JERRY BRUCKHEIMER FILMS ANNOUNCES "GO FAST" WITH TOM CRUISE, ANGELINA

LOS ANGELES--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Jan. 9, 2001--Jerry Bruckheimer of
Jerry Bruckheimer Films today announced his company has acquired the
North American creative rights to "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,"
the award-winning, magical action tale currently captivating audiences
the globe over.
Bruckheimer Films will mount an all-English-language remake of the
property, to be retitled "Go Fast." Academy Award nominee Tom Cruise
("M:I-2") will star as Lee Moby, a handsome and internationally
renowned race-car driver who embarks on a mystical journey to return a
vintage 1973 Triumph TR6 ROADSTER--nicknamed, the Green Destiny--to
his older brother in Las Vegas before retiring from the circuit and
pursuing his passion for Tae Bo.
Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie ("Gone in 60 Seconds") will costar
as Jade Fox, the notorious criminal who years ago married--and
killed--Lee's beloved father, Mickey. When Lee and Jade meet again on
the road to Sin City: Watch out!
