Playing a Stream
A stream is music data that flows from the Internet instead of from a fixed file on your system.
Use the 'Add Music' menu:
Click the Add button (#29 in the base skin), and then choose Add Music.
If you don't see the Add button, or just for a shortcut: press the Insert key on your keyboard.
In the Open dialog box, locate the Enter URL field, type in the URL you want, and click 'Open URL'. The stream is automatically added to your Playlist.
Click the Play button. (If there is more than one track in the Playlist, double-click the stream to begin its playback)
To play a stream, follow these steps:
Locate a stream on the web. A good place to start is
http://www.shoutcast.com
Most streaming web sites have a button that initiates the stream.
Drag the link (button or displayed URL) that initiates the stream right from your browser window to anywhere on the QCD player. This adds the stream as a 'track' in your Playlist.
Click the Play button. (If there is more than one track in the Playlist, you need to select the stream first.)
Note: Many streams on the web are linked to a playlist. If QCD is set to be the default player for PLS or M3U file types, a stream will play automatically by just clicking on it's link.
